Full Job Description

Quality Support Specialists are required to develop and sustain quality standards for the machining, processing, and assembly into finished products in accordance with industry standards, customer engineering, customer specifications, internal engineering, and digital product definitions. Quality Support Specialists are also required to analyze all elements of manufacturing and quality control inspection and accurately report data to our customers for approval of first piece production.

 Essential Functions

  • Communicates professionally and courteously to convey clear and concise information to customers and coworkers via telephone, email, and in-person
  • Develop all FAI documentation
  • Assist with all requests for documentation for outside machining
  • Assist in submitting non-conforming parts to the customer MRB for dispositions
  • Stores and maintains procedures, documents, and training records into IQM
  • Assists with internal, customer, and AS9100 Audits
  • Completes Customer Satisfaction Requests
  • Occasionally assists with reviewing and stamping shipping documentation
  • Completes FOD documentation
  • Submits customer-required documentation
  • Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required

This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):

  • An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or
  • An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a “Green Card” holder), or
  • An individual who is granted status as a “protected person”

Required Education and Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate degree or similar post-secondary education in general business or engineering is preferred
  • At least three (3) years of clerical/administrative support, document control, or office management; experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills (English) 
  • Communication skills to effectively and professionally exchange and present information, verbally and in writing (English)
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing company records, and demonstrating discretion and integrity in communications and actions
  • Self-management skills, including initiative, efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and advanced intermediate skills using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Physical Demands and Work Environment

To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
  • Regularly stand and walk; navigate the shop floor and manufacturing campus as needed
  • Occasionally climb steps or stairs
  • Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts, or other messaging, and email
  • Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, mouse, or other peripherals

The normal work environment is a typical office setting; however, occasional visits to the warehouse/manufacturing environment will be required, where the employee may be exposed to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vapors, and hazards, including forklifts and other moving equipment. The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and safety footwear may be required during these visits.
