REPORTS TO: Electrician II or Electrical Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
CLASSIFICATION: Personnel System – Requires satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.
PAY GRADE: 115 ($49,497 – $58,962 depending on qualifications)
SAFETY SENSITIVE: Yes, Subject to random drug testing per the Athens-Clarke County Drug and Alcohol Ordinance.
Purpose of JobÂ
The purpose of this job is to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components associated with the operation and maintenance of Athens-Clarke County electrical systems, equipment and components. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing and repairing existing electrical systems, performing new wiring projects, inspecting equipment for code compliance; performing preventative maintenance; maintaining records, and performing additional tasks as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:Â Monday- Friday 7:30am – 4:00pmÂ
May be required to work on religious holidays.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.Â
Must work cooperatively with others.Â
When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC’s safe driving policy.
Minimum Training & Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
Vocational or Technical Diploma with two years of electrical construction experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.Â
Valid driver’s license required.Â
Possession of a Georgia State Unrestricted Electrical Contractor’s License is preferred.
One year of supervisory experience preferred as applicable for assigned Department.
