Athens Achieves’ Navigators are employed by the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce to assist you in the job search process. They can recommend jobs that fit your qualifications, suggest support services that may be helpful, give you tips on how to improve your Professional Profile, and more. You can think of the Navigators as free recruiters who work on your behalf to help you succeed in your career.
No. Instead, your Professional Profile acts as your resume. When you apply for a job on this site, you are sending your Professional Profile to the employer as your application for the job.
When you apply for a job on AthensAchieves.com, your Professional Profile is sent to the employer to review. After reviewing your application, they will mark it as either “Prospective” or “Declined.” If your application is marked “Prospective,” you will receive instructions from the employer that outline how to continue the application process.
No! This website is completely free to use. You can apply for as many jobs as you want at no charge.
Employer FAQs
If your company is located in the Athens area and is looking to hire qualified candidates, you can sign up here. Our Navigators will review your submission and create your account.
We want AthensAchieves.com to act as an employment hub for the entire Athens area. If you are not sure if your company qualifies, you should sign up regardless. This website is free to use and the employer signup form only takes a minute to fill out.
If your company has its own job portal, AthensAchieves.com can still be highly useful. You can customize the message you send to prospective applicants. So if you need them to officially apply on your job site, you can include that and any other relevant information in your message to candidates who think may be a good fit.
In addition to this, Athens Achieves will market your open positions and company as a whole on social media for free, increasing the reach of your job listings at no cost to you.
Once the Navigators have created your account, you can list jobs from your dashboard. You can list as many jobs as you would like at no charge. If you are interested in a bulk jobs upload, please email our Navigators: navigators@athensachieves.com

Community Partner FAQs
If you represent a local support service or otherwise work with individuals to help them find employment, you can sign up as a Community Partner on AthensAchieves.com. To request an account, please email our Navigators: navigators@athensachieves.com
We are actively developing the Community Partner role for AthensAchieves.com. Currently, Community Partners have the ability to suggest support services for us to add to our database and submit hiring events for us to add to our events calendar. Services and events must be approved by our Navigators before they will show up on the website.
In the future, we will be adding additional functionality, such as a custom Community Partner analytics dashboard and a way to manage candidate cases that are assigned to you.
If you know of an existing local service that provides support to individuals seeking employment (childcare, transportation, education, financial assistance, etc.), you can suggest it in the Community Partner dashboard. Our Navigators will review your submission and add it to the system if it is applicable and does not already exist in our database.
