The General Laborer supports the production team by assisting with line start-up, changeovers, and packaging of products in accordance with company standards. This role ensures that production goals are met with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. General Laborers may be assigned to any production line and may be cross trained in basic Material Handler duties to meet operational needs.

Essential Job Duties

• Packages finished products according to company standards.
• Assists with production line start-up and changeovers.
• Identifies and reports quality concerns promptly to the Machine Operator.
• Operates hand-held scanning devices to print roll labels.
• Completes production paperwork, including roll counts and weights.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Operates the automated sheet winder.
• Operates a forklift as needed, upon completion of training.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, or Plant Manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
• Basic understanding of packaging procedures.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.
• Effective communication skills; ability to read and write in English preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to stand and bend for extended periods.
• Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasionally assisted lifting of up to 80 pounds.
• Mobility to navigate a 72,000 square foot facility.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Correctable vision and hearing.
