Job Description:

University Cancer & Blood Center is hiring for a part-time Medical Assistant for our Clinical team. The schedule for this position will be Monday at our Snellville location and Tuesday, Thursday at our Covington location.

Job Duties:

• Meets and greets patients.
• Obtains appropriate patient information and medical history.
• Accurately completes and documents patient medical and physical histories and other related items in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR);
• Accurately Records vital signs.
• Aids in the collection of blood when needed
• Reviews next day schedule to ensure all testing is completed.
• Prepares and maintains examination rooms
• Maintains examination/treatment rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist providers in bone marrow biopsies

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant or EMT preferred.
• Previous medical experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to work individually and as a team.
• A positive attitude is a must!
