We are seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support a man, who is transitioning out of a nursing facility and is moving into his own home in the Athens community. After years of limited independence, he’s ready to rebuild his life—and he needs the right team to help make it happen.

About the Role
As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping him regain the independence he had to give up when entering long-term care. Your support will ensure he can live safely and confidently in his own home and re-engage with the daily routines and community activities that matter most to him.
Your work will include:
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Assisting with medical needs, including medication administration and monitoring
- Supporting him in community involvement—shopping, working, participating in local events, and reconnecting with Athens
- Encouraging independence, choice-making, and skill development
- Promoting a positive, respectful, and empowering environment

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with direct care, disability support, or caregiving (preferred but not required)
- Physically able to assist with lifting or transferring (with appropriate equipment/training)
- Strong interpersonal skills: calm, respectful, patient, and reliable
- Ability to follow care plans and respond to individual preferences
- Valid driver’s license (if transportation is part of the role)
- Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid, abuse prevention, and other relevant training
- Background check required
