About Us:  Ghavi’s is an upscale fine-dining restaurant renowned for exceptional cuisine, craft cocktails, and memorable guest experiences. We are looking for a skilled and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary team and help us deliver an outstanding dining experience.

Job Summary:  The Sous Chef is a key culinary leader responsible for oversight of the kitchen under direction of the Executive Chef.  This role requires mastery of diverse cooking techniques, strong kitchen management skills, and the ability to lead and inspire our team..

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and fully stock stations with all necessary supplies; prepare ingredients through precise portioning, chopping, and seasoning in accordance with established recipes and standards

• Maintain an impeccably clean and organized workstation at all times, supporting both food safety compliance and the visual presentation standards Ghavi’s is known for

• Oversee and assist with the thorough cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas

• Strictly adhere to all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, including HACCP protocols, personal hygiene standards, and uniform requirements at all times

• Collaborate closely with all kitchen staff to ensure timely, efficient, and well-coordinated food preparation and execution throughout every service

• Supervise and guide the morning prep crew, ensuring mise en place is completed to standard and the kitchen is fully prepared ahead of each service

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, with a background in fine dining or specialty culinary roles strongly preferred

• Advanced knife skills, mastery of diverse cooking techniques, and a deep understanding of flavor profiles, ingredient sourcing, and seasonal cuisine

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform effectively in a high-heat, fast-paced kitchen

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• ServSafe Manager-level certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire
