Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Clinical & Surgical Support
- Â Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures for both small and large animals
- Â Prepare and restrain patients safely for exams, diagnostics, and surgery
- Â Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures and recovery
Large Animal & Farm Call Support
- Â Assist with farm calls and field services, including handling livestock and supporting ambulatory care
- Â Prepare equipment and supplies for off-site visits
- Â Support veterinarians during after-hours emergency calls, including large animal cases
Diagnostics & Treatment
- Â Perform laboratory testing, radiographs, and basic diagnostics
- Â Administer medications, vaccines, and fluids as directed
- Â Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Client Communication & Facility Support
- Â Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and updates on patient care
- Â Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment environment
Schedule & On-Call Expectations
Clinic Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Sunday: Closed
On-Call Rotation (Required):
- Â Approximately 1 night per week or every other week
-  Weekend on-call rotation every 6–8 weeks
- Â Includes after-hours emergency calls and farm calls, supporting both large and small animal patients
